Job Description :
- The Field Support & Site Survey Officer is responsible for conducting on-site technical surveys prior to project initiation.
- This role is critical for gathering accurate data and assessing site conditions to ensure project feasibility and inform precise planning.
- The officer also provides vital technical support to field teams during project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Surveys: Travel to client sites to perform detailed technical and environmental surveys
- Data Collection: Accurately measure, record, and document site-specific conditions, including dimensions, infrastructure, access points, power availability, and potential obstacles.
- Feasibility Assessment: Evaluate site readiness and identify any potential challenges or requirements for successful project implementation.
- Reporting: Create detailed survey reports, diagrams, and floor plans using CAD or other design software. Provide clear recommendations to the project management and design teams.
- Technical Support: Provide on-site and remote technical support to installation and operations teams, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Client Interaction: Liaise with clients on-site to understand their requirements, answer technical questions, and set realistic expectations.
- Tool & Equipment Management: Maintain and calibrate survey equipment (e.g., laser measures, cameras, drones) to ensure accuracy.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Conduct all site activities in strict compliance with company and client health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Construction, IT) is a plus.
- Proven experience in a site survey, technical field support, or construction layout role.
- Proficiency in using survey tools and equipment. Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD), GIS tools, or drone technology is a strong advantage.
- Strong spatial awareness and attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing and client interaction.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel extensively to various sites.
