Job Description
We are seeking an experienced IMS/VoLTE Engineer with Machine Learning Capabilities to join our Customer Experience team. The ideal candidate will combine strong knowledge of CS networks, IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) architecture, VoLTE/VoNR technologies, underlying IP Core, PS Core and RAN networks with data extraction, machine learning and data analytics expertise.
This role focuses on improving end-to-end customer experience, leveraging network insights, AI/ML models, and proactive monitoring to ensure service quality and enhance voice and data performance.
Key Responsibilities
CS/SMS/VoLTE Service Quality & Root Cause Analysis
- Monitor and analyze end-to-end SMS/call flows (SS7, SIGTRAN, SIP, Diameter, HTTP/2, SMPP, SMS over IP etc.) to generalize the underlying network issues impacting customer experience.
- Analyze CS, SMS & VoLTE KPIs, MOS scores, and QoE metrics to detect service degradations.
- Collaborate with network planning, core, and RAN teams to optimize voice quality and improve customer experience.
Machine Learning & Data Analytics
- Develop and deploy ML models for anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, and customer experience prediction etc.
- Extract data and build pipelines from available data sources to provide actionable insights using ML algorithms.
- Automate root cause analysis and performance reporting using Python, Spark, or equivalent frameworks.
- Use AI/ML to correlate network KPIs with customer complaints, network performance indicators, and churn indicators etc.
Customer Experience Focus
- Translate technical performance metrics into customer experience impact.
- Support Customer Experience Management (CEM) platforms with AI/ML-driven recommendations.
- Contribute to strategies for VoLTE/IMS/SMS service assurance, analysis and 5G voice migration.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
- Strong CS/IMS/VoLTE expertise, including SIP, Diameter, RTP, SRVCC/VoNR, QoS, Codecs, legacy & IP SMS Protocols.
- Solid understanding of LTE/5G architecture (EPC, 5GC, RAN integration).
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Strong skills in Python, SQL, and big data tools (Spark, Kafka, Hadoop).
- Strong skills in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI etc.)
- Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, Genband, Nokia/Oracle IMS, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of customer experience analytics and CEM platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work across cross-functional teams
