Piping Design Engineer

Location: Al Jubail, KSA

Notice Period: Only Immediate joiners OR not longer than 30 days’ Notice Period.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Piping Design Engineer to support detailed engineering, design review, and coordination activities for industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to Chemical, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Fertilizer, or related industries, along with proficiency in international piping design codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of PMS and VMS
  • Piperack planning and sizing under the guidance of lead engineer
  • Preparation of technical enquiry specification (MR) for piping, fittings, manual valves and specialties
  • Technical bid evaluation, Vendor drawing review for piping, fittings, manual valves and specialties under the guidance of lead engineer
  • Checking and Coordination and Inter disciplinary check of Engineering Deliverables
  • Review and verify piping plans
  • Presenting Piping for Internal model review. Ensure Readiness for 30%, 60% and 90% Client model review
  • Resolution of client queries
  • Coordination with working engineers, Modelers and Draftsmen
  • Shall be able to work as an Area engineer for the project
  • Tags Resolution and Closure with Client for 30%, 60% and 90% Reviews
  • Review of Inter disciplinary vendor drawings for consistency check of piping interfaces
  • Interdisciplinary Checking and Coordination for Process PIDs, Vendor GAs & Structural GAs
  • Issue of isometrics to stress and comment incorporation
  • Finalizing and issue of IFC Nozzle orientations
  • Shall be responsible for accuracy of Piping MTO
  • Issuing equipment layouts under the guidance of Piping lead engineer.

Certification:

● Valid Professional Engineer (PE) Certification of Saudi Council of Engineers

Key Skills Required:

  • Preference experience in the field of Chemical, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Fertilizer, Industrial projects etc.
  • Technically competent engineer with excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with ASME B 31.3 code for process piping
  • Exposure working with international design standards viz., ASME, ASTM, API, MSS SP, etc.,
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation and proficiency in MS Office
  • Familiarity with Piping material specification, valves and specialty data sheets
  • Awareness of 3D modelling & proficiency in 3D review (Navisworks) software
  • Familiarity with Stress Analysis concepts.
