Job Description
We are seeking an experienced 4G/5G Radio Expert with complementary Machine Learning (ML) and Data Analytics skills to join our Customer Experience team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in RAN performance and optimization, mobility management, and end-to-end radio troubleshooting, while also applying ML techniques to enhance insights, predictive analysis, and automation.
The primary emphasis of this role is on Radio Access Network expertise, with Machine Learning and data-driven analytics serving as a strategic enabler to drive automation, predictive monitoring, and improved customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Radio Access Network Performance & Optimization
- Monitor and analyze LTE/5G RAN KPIs/KQIs related to coverage, capacity, mobility, and accessibility.
- Perform end-to-end troubleshooting of radio issues using OSS, SmartCare and traces.
- Identify root causes of degradations such as drops, handover failures, and throughput issues.
- Collaborate with planning, optimization, and core teams to ensure consistent customer experience.
- Support RAN feature testing, parameter tuning, and new technology introduction (NSA/SA 5G).
Machine Learning & Data Analytics
- Develop ML/AI models for anomaly detection, predictive performance degradation, and optimization recommendations.
- Extract, process, and analyze large-scale RAN datasets using Python, SQL, and big data platforms.
- Automate performance reporting and root cause analysis using ML pipelines.
- Correlate customer experience indicators with RAN performance metrics to prioritize optimization.
Customer Experience Focus
- Translate technical RAN performance outcomes into customer experience impact.
- Support Customer Experience Management (CEM) platforms with AI/ML-driven insights.
- Contribute to strategies for 5G service assurance and next-generation RAN optimization.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong expertise in LTE/5G RAN performance, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with multi-vendor RAN environments (Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia).
- Knowledge of end-to-end mobile network architecture (RAN, EPC, 5GC).
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and machine learning frameworks (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Familiarity with big data tools (Spark, Kafka, Hadoop) and visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with RAN monitoring tools, OSS, and protocol analyzers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work across cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
